Nevada's Resort Industry Responds to Community Needs during COVID-19

Nevada’s Resort Industry has a long history of being strong community partners and good corporate citizens, particularly in times of crisis. During this challenging time, our members have been tireless in their efforts to assist the medical community, hospitals, first responders, state and local emergency management teams and nonprofit organizations with critical supplies, such as personal protective equipment (PPEs), and valuable resources.

When the closures of casinos were announced in March, the Resort Industry moved quickly to donate truckloads upon truckloads of perishable food – which amounted to millions of meals – to food banks in both Northern and Southern Nevada to help seniors, school children, the homeless and the most vulnerable among us.

In addition to food, the list of donations from the Resort Industry continues to provide is lengthy – ranging from substantial amounts of facemasks and N95 masks, gloves and other PPEs to bleach, cleaning supplies, hygiene kits, linens, toilet paper and other paper products.

As the donations continue to be made, we’ll capture them here to share the many ways Nevada’s Resorts are giving back and fighting back against COVID-19. #NVResortsGivingBack
